MetalDetector is a app for iphone and iPad,
it use the magnetometer to mesure the magnetic field
when the iphone is placed near a feromagnetic metal like iron or steel.
This application use the compass of your iDevice and is not compatible
with the iphone v1 and 3G.

would love to be able to toggle sound off, but its no big deal to turn volume down on the iphone. not sure exactly whats measured, in metal, as my free weights didnt register. magnets sure register though!
It works as described and it is amazing it works at all!
They do have a support page too. Just make sure y9ou have a 3Gs not a 3G
Some bad moments
iPhone doesnt have a magnameter! Why would you offer this? After download it tells you this!?!
This doesnt work except when trying to detect large magnets. Not sure when Ill be searching for large magnets any time soon.
Do not waste your money on this it doesent work.No instructions. HORIBLE.WASTE...........................
It doesnt work. Apple just wants to take ur money download the free one! It doesnt tell u it doesnt work until u buy it I want my money back!!
If its only for iPhone, why isnt it blocked off for iPod touch?? This stinks I want my money back.
